Welcome to the Online Development Office! It's here that you can
keep up-to-date on the Grand Event, the Academic
Advancement Fund, and all the little ways that you can help Latin School.
And don't forget the scoop on the latest items in the Latin
School Spirit Shop!
Simple Ways to Support Latin School
Academic Advancement Fund -- The Academic Advancement Fund (AAF) is our annual
fund that runs from July 1 to June 30 of the following year. The main
focus is financial assistance for deserving students. Any money raised not
used for financial assistance is forwarded to the general fund account for
operating expenses.
"General Mills Box Top 4 Education" Program
-
Clip the box tops and
drop off in the main office. These box tops
can also be mailed to the school. Items included: General Mills cereals, Pillsbury
refrigerated or frozen items, Yoplait yogurt, Hamburger Helper, Betty
Crocker meals and baking products, Bisquick and Gold Medal flour, Totino's Pizza
snacks, Chex items, and Ziploc products. We get 10 cents for each item
sent in.
-
Boxtops4Education Marketplace -- Shop online from
over 200 stores like JC Penney, Land's End. CLS receives up to 8%
of your purchase.
Remke Markets Rewards Program --
Pick up the necessary form at school, designate Latin School for your customer card
and drop off at the nearest Remke Market.
Our school code is #230.
Kroger -- Contact Teresa Baumann at (859)653-5370
or stop by the school main office to get your Kroger guest card.
Put money (cash, credit or debit card) on the Kroger card then use it to pay for your purchases. We get a
percentage of the sale each month. This is the Athletic Boosters biggest
fund-raiser!
Magazine Orders -- You can renew or
subscribe to a new magazine and support CLS at the same time. Order at
www.qsp.com/store/index.aspx. Make sure you give Covington Latin School credit
for your orders.
Office Furniture/Equipment -- If you will be renovating
your office or getting new equipment, check with us to see if we
could use it. Examples are filing cabinet, computer desks, office chairs,
etc.
Paper recycling,
Inkjet and Laser cartridges or old cell phones -- Ms.
Tewes is collecting printer inkjet and laser cartridges, as well as old cell
phones and their accessories. You are encouraged to collect cartridges
from your homes, as well as, your place of employment and co-workers. Put
empty cartridges in Zip-lock bags please. The paper recycling container is
located behind the Cathedral (a green container). The school will earn funds for
our continuing technology needs.
Planned Giving
Insurance Policies: Premium payments can be tax
deductible as a charitable deduction. You can transfer your
policy while continuing to pay premiums or naming Covington Latin School as the
beneficiary. Life insurance policies which are no longer needed for the
purpose for which they were originally purchased may be an ideal gift
to Latin School.
Wills and Bequests: Reduce or eliminate your
federal estate tax. Include us in your will or a bequest.
Trust Funds: Income can be guaranteed for life
along with tax deduction and capital gains tax savings. See your financial
planner.
