Covington Latin School and US Digital Partners: Matching Excellence with Excellence
December 2008—Cincinnati—Since its founding in 1923, Covington Latin School has maintained a reputation for excellence. The School takes students from fifth, sixth and seventh grades and prepares them academically, spiritually, and emotionally for the direct transition into college upon completion of a four-year high school curriculum.
Students who qualify for this accelerated high school program receive benefits that go way beyond a quality education. While students are involved in an intensive academic program, they are also immersed in a tradition of Christian service. Since the School’s beginnings, it has served to develop Christian leaders for tomorrow’s generation.
Faculty and staff at the school felt that their website, www.covingtonlatin.org, needed to reflect the School’s excellence as an institution. “It needed to offer a clear organization of content for the casual user and the functionality and depth for the robust user,” states Carl Goodmonson, Admissions Counselor and Webmaster. “Our three primary user groups are the current Latin School community, the families of prospective students, and our alumni. The new site offers audience-based navigation specific to each of these groups as well as by topic, such as spiritual life and guidance. Users can navigate based on what is most intuitive to them.”
Covington Latin School Headmaster, Andrew J. Barczak, is very pleased with the new website. “The final version of the website exceeded our expectations. From the graphic designs, to the features used to the easy accessibility of the site, all of these features and more have helped to create a captivating website.” And he’s equally happy with the School’s partnership with US Digital Partners. “U.S. Digital has been very accommodating and worked long and hard to capture who we are. They have been truly exceptional and professional in their approach to the project as well as their follow-through. In many ways, this site is a reflection of their work ethic and values.”
David Brecount, partner at US Digital Partners, is just as impressed with Covington Latin School and the staff he has encountered there. “It really is an outstanding school. The program is intense in Catholic faith and the formation of the whole person while being very academically challenging.”
Carl Goodmonson strongly believes the site accomplishes the goals put forth at the beginning of the project. “The clarity and elegant simplicity of the design belies the considerable breadth and depth of the site. The site reflects our identity by evoking both tradition and innovation, but we continue to cultivate and modify it. Excellence is a moving target.”
