As a relatively new Covington Latin student, I learned early on to budget time wisely and work hard. I think this is a key for many, if not the entire CLS student body. I was not at the top of my class prior to attending CLS-I think there's a misconception that all our students are that way. I am fortunate to have gotten good grades through hard work but I wanted to be in a place where I was surrounded by motivated (and motivating) kids that would help take me to the next level. I have many new friends through classes, my participation in Girls Soccer and other extracurricular activities. Students arrive at CLS from different places, at different ages and there's a lot of support from the faculty, from our families and from each other. The environment inside and outside the classrooms is much more cooperative than it is competitive. Enrolling in CLS is a bold decision and I couldn't be more pleased with it.
