It is very difficult for me to envision a school that I would enjoy as much or in so many different ways, as Covington Latin School. The atmosphere is one of kindness, thoughtfulness and caring. Faculty, staff and other students are always willing to assist if you have any problems. The environment is intimate at CLS-everyone knows the name of everyone else and our limited class sizes allow us to know one another on a much deeper level than a larger school would allow. I can approach any faculty/staff member or student, regardless of grade, in the halls or off-campus and have a conversation.
The learning environment fosters confidence in voicing our opinions and respectfully and thoughtfully listening to the views of others. CLS cares very deeply about students’ ability to succeed inside and outside the classroom and its small size is reflected in the individualized attention we receive. Conversely, students and faculty/staff care very deeply about the School-there is an enormous pride in our traditions that is found in the student body today and alumni of yesteryear. I have been extraordinarily fortunate to have had the CLS experience and highly recommend it to anyone who values these traits and characteristics.
