INTRODUCTION

The Covington Latin School is a Catholic, accelerated, college preparatory high school offering a classical education.  Since its inception in 1923, the Covington Latin School has operated under the auspices of the Roman Catholic bishop of the Diocese of Covington, Kentucky.  The Covington Latin School is fully accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (S.A.C.S.).

The Covington Latin School offers a unique program for academically talented students in the tri-state area.   Students usually enter the Latin School after the sixth grade of their elementary schooling, and in four years are prepared for college.  This acceleration enables the academically talented student to move forward into new and more challenging and rewarding studies.  Students entering after the seventh grade receive an acceleration of one year.  An optional preparatory year is also offered.

Covington Latin School admits academically qualified young men and women without regard to race, color, creed or ethnic origin.
