Tuition Assistance

Financial wealth should not determine access to the best education, nor should it shape a learning community. We believe that no deserving student should be denied a Covington Latin education due to demonstrable financial need. The generosity of our alumni and parent donors enables us to offer tuition assistance to nearly one-third of CLS students, across a broad spectrum of financial circumstances.

April 1, 2019, is the priority deadline for new and continuing student tuition assistance applications, though they may be submitted as early as January.  May 1, 2019, is the priority deadline to accept financial aid and scholarships.  All scholarships and financial aid will not be guaranteed beyond May 1, 2019.

To assess financial need, families are required to submit a  FACTS Financial Aid Application. Tuition assistance is offered on a first-come, first-served basis, so we strongly encourage all families to apply as soon as possible.

Other Forms of Assistance

Incoming students who score in the 98th or 99th percentile on the CLS Entrance Exam qualify for the Dennis P. Whitehead Scholar Award - a one-time scholarship in the amount of $800.

Continuing students are eligible for academic scholarships awarded at the Fall Honors Assembly. Six scholarships are awarded in each grade level. These awards range from $200 to $600 and are made possible by the generous support of our business partners, APT, alumni and friends.

$1,000 tuition credits are offered for each additional sibling enrolled at Latin School.
