Covington Latin School remains dedicated to developing student relationships with Christ. Causa Essendi was named in large part for the unique opportunity to further examine our faith lives and spend time building that faith. 

Students attend Mass daily on Causa Essendi Day as testimony that God is the cause for our existence. 

Throughout the school year, students will use this day for faith retreats off-campus. Because events held on Causa Essendi Day do not take away instructional time, more opportunities to focus on faith formation can be held than the traditional yearly retreats. These opportunities include church visits, faith-based service, and vocational discernment.
